November 23rd sees the Iberian Peninsula celebrating Indigenous Forest Day. This event serves as a complement to World Forest Day – 21st March – and not appropriate to the planting of indigenous species as tree planting in the Portuguese spring returns only low rates of success due to the precipitation and heat levels.
Tapioszlos, Hungary, was the host of the first project meeting. Project coordinators from all partner countries spent 4 days, from 6th till 9th November, talking about basic project matters in detail.
